We have figured out a new schedule and there is now room for a further 8 teams in the Topo Duo category!

After your feedback from last year and interest from various groups we will be running a topo duo race in 2006. This category will be open to sixteen teams of two paddlers.
The races will be two boat, head to head sprints from below zig zag to the finish line below the Linn of Tummel. The winner of each heat will progress to the next round.
Boats will be supplied by Liquid Life and thanks to the Cults Canoe Club, and the National Kayak School for kindly lending us the boats for this purpose.

Rules
False starts will result in the paddlers infringing having to touch a penalty marker in the designated eddy.
No intentional holding back of other paddlers. Offenders will be disqualified. "Jostling" for position with paddles and/or boats is expected and accepted.
Paddlers must be in their boats over the finish line. Swimming over the finish line will result in disqualification. If you are upside down over the finish line, a successful roll into the upright position must be executed. Failure to do so (i.e. swimming) will result in disqualification.
First over the line wins.
