RULES
False starts will result in the paddler/paddlers infringing having to touch a penalty marker in the designated eddy.
No intentional holding back of other paddlers. Offenders will be disqualified. "Jostling" for position with paddles and/or boats is expected and accepted.
Paddlers must be in their boats over the finish line. Swimming over the finish line will result in disqualification. If you are upside down over the finish line, a successful roll into the upright position must be executed. Failure to do so (i.e. swimming) will result in disqualification.
The top two paddlers from each heat advance to the next round.
Boat size will be restricted to 2.50m for all classes except the OC1 which will be 3.50m.
