Scottish Kayaking

Scotland is full of rivers and with free access and water all year round it is a fantastic destination for whitewater kayaking. The rivers vary from easy class I and II to hell raising class V and VI torrents, from open moorlands to tight and technical gorges.

The numerous hydro schemes already in place mean that even during the driest months of the year there are still rivers to paddle in Scotland. The Tummel, Spean, Morriston, Garry, Awe and Gaur are all great dam release rivers whilst the Orchy, Etive, Tilt and Findhorn are fantastic free flow runs.

Not only this, the water which runs off the mountains is fresh, plentiful and so clean they even make whisky out of it!!

Scotland is not only fantastic for white water paddling but it also has some of the best sea kayaking on offer in the known cosmos.
